SUSTAINABILITY AT EG
As a production facility operating in the garment sector, EG places the principle of sustainability at the core of all its business processes. From energy and resource efficiency to environmentally conscious production units, from recycling to health-sensitive production methods, EG embraces a “responsible production” approach across many areas. At the foundation of all its investments and production activities, EG adopts business practices focused on the environment and society.
With its biological, chemical, and mechanical treatment plant, the EG factory recycles 60% of its wastewater, with plans to further increase this rate in the future. Through the solar rooftop system to be implemented, the factory aims to meet 30% of its electricity needs from solar energy. Moreover, in one of its most important operational units—washing—EG uses the “Eliar automatic dosing system” to minimize environmental impact.
SUSTAINABILITY AT DNM
DNM uses a Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) system to prevent the release of industrial wastewater into the environment. All water used in production is treated within the facilities, achieving a 100% treatment rate. With 90.8% of its total water needs met through recycled water, water consumption is minimized and environmental pollution is prevented. In addition, regular measurements of water and carbon footprints are carried out every year.
The annual carbon footprint is monitored, and through the use of solar energy and cogeneration systems, renewable energy usage is increased, enabling low-carbon production.
FASTGO
Placing sustainability at the center of all the sectors in which it operates, Eroğlu Global Holding launched its first investment in the renewable energy sector with FastGo. While FastGo continues to grow with nearly 150 electric vehicle charging stations across Türkiye, the Group is also focusing on sustainable resources by investing in wind energy within the field of renewable energy.
